DWI chase ended in west Austin

An unidentified DWI suspect initiated a police chase through West Austin and into West Lake Hills Sunday, September 28.

Authorities said they signaled for the driver to pull over at around 11:23 p.m. at the 13500 block of U.S. Route 183, but instead, the individual sped off. The officer chased the driver through the neighborhoods at Bee Caves at 360. The chase finally ended at 1300 Circle Ridge in West Lake Hills where the suspect was apprehended.

The driver was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated and evading arrest.
