Dallas County Commissioner receives another state-appointed lawyer

The Dallas Morning News reported that United States Magistrate Judge Renee Toliver appointed a second Dallas criminal defense attorney to the high-profile case of Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price, who was indicted on 11 counts of bribery, corruption, and tax fraud, according to federal court records.

This is the second time the state has given Price a defense attorney, whose expenses will be primarily shouldered by citizens of Texas. He has been required, however, to contribute $80,000 of his own money to his defense over a course of scheduled payments.
